Was up quite early this morning for a trip to the hospital. This time it was for a venesection, where you have a pint of blood extracted from you. I admit to feeling rather tired as I didn’t sleep well at all, getting about 3 hours sleep in total.
I was having a nice dream about driving a posh car when the jingle of the alarm awoke me at 6.30 am. Off I went to the hospital, and I must confess to not liking needles at all. The needle that went in to my left arm was quite sizeable and I had to look away. A feeling of coldness goes up and down my body when a needle is inserted into my arm.
It’s a fairly short process, taking about 10 minutes in all. I was a little light headed straight afterwards but that soon wore off. The venesection I had last June did do the trick for a while, so I hope this does too.
Pleasant February day outside, so I’m going to get some fresh air for a while. Just have to wait until May now to get this sleep study done. For the time being, let’s hope this blood withdrawal will improve my physical health.
