A proper winter day today here in London. A few flakes of snow to greet the early morning but since then we’ve had sparkling sunshine and clear skies, with that chill, all in all my sort of weather type for the season.
And that has perked me up too. Yesterday wasn’t great. It was a dank, miserable day outside and the mood was apposite. But an early start and off to Peer Support was just the fillip to get me out of the door.
Unfortunately, once again, no one showed up and we had to cancel. But there is an upside. I managed to pick up a couple of bits of volunteering, speaking at a local event and on another occasion, advertising the company’s wares at another local event where we will be in amongst all the best the local charities and businesses can offer regarding mental health.
So I came back home, enjoying the glorious winter sunshine on the bus ride home. Stopped off for some lunch and tonight off to a cricket meeting. Not a bad day. If I could make a week out of the “not bad” days I would be happy, but as I know, life doesn’t always work out the way it should.
More good weather days like today will help though!
