I guess that’s why they call it the (winter) blues….

Evening. Well it hasn’t been a very nice day here in London today. Grey, cold and wet and this has had an impact on my much better mood this week.

I did wake up early and have breakfast but while doing so I thought better of going to the Peer Support group. The enthusiasm wasn’t there this morning. And looking outside the window to see a grey day with heavy rain did little to change that mindset. So I’ve settled for a day indoors.

Until this evening. I’m off out with a few umpiring friends and hopefully my mood will change with lots of healthy banter, chat, good food and good wine. Just one of those days. That’s why I was commenting to some of my colleagues at SANE yesterday that we need to take advantage of these shortening daylight hours and especially when it is sunny, like yesterday. Today is a typical November day. We haven’t needed daylight hours today as the gloom hasn’t lifted.

So some winter blues induced mood swing for me today. Short lived I hope and back to normal tomorrow.
