And a bank holiday weekend in England. Typically, the weather has changed just in time for the great summer getaway. I got caught in a deluge of rain this afternoon and the skies are slate grey, the wind is cool and it feels like October. But who’s complaining after the summer we’ve had?
What’s been going on? Not a lot really. More gym work and it was a struggle today. On the cycle felt like pedalling through treacle. Legs felt stiff and didn’t want to perform today. But I showed a bit of will and resolution and got through it, though it was tough. The treadmill was a little better but maybe I’ve done enough for one week.
Tomorrow will give a rest away from the gym as I go to assess an umpire who’s making his way up the officiating ladder. Might be a day to wrap up fairly warm as it won’t be terribly summer like. But there’ll be some people there that I’ll know and it will be a straightforward day, I hope.
Situation downstairs? Quiet for the last couple of days, I mean, it couldn’t be any worse than Tuesday afternoon. Every minute that passes by in silence is greeted with a huge sigh of relief. Aggro! Don’t you just love it….
So that’s the long and the short of it really. Quiet sort of stuff, looking forward to a nice day at the cricket tomorrow.
