The Dormant Subconscious ?

Eight summers in a row almost without exception, my subconscious mind has flicked a switch around June time so the rest of the summer is a squalid mess and I lose interest in most things.

2018 though…things are somewhat different. Why? Well for a start, I do have some activities to keep me occupied, like cricket scoring, volunteering and occasional presentations. I do have the odd day where I don’t feel quite up to doing things, but they’re becoming few and far between. Occasional blips you might say. The activities I am doing are bringing me some enjoyment and interest, and that’s keeping the subconscious from thinking back to the recent past. The demons are being warded off.

But I have to be careful that the subconscious doesn’t come back to bite me. So far, so good. This month has been largely good and productive. July is nearly upon me and I hope that is productive too. Enjoying the company of some very nice people is also helping me too, especially the lads at the cricket club, who have been very appreciative and supportive since my return.

Have to keep doing what I’m doing and promoting good well being, to myself! No pain, no gain. Let’s do this!
