It’s been that sort of a day weather wise. Woke up this morning to a very light covering of snow on the ground and immediately thoughts were turning to the umpires training night tonight and whether it’s going ahead.
Thankfully, the strong sun and keen wind did it’s stuff and the snow thawed in no time. However, we’ve had nice sunshine punctuated by dark clouds and moderate to heavy snow flurries. They haven’t settled so it’s all systems go tonight, thank goodness. I don’t think we’ve cancelled a class for 5 years due to bad weather, which indicates how frequently it snows in England these days!
And with the lighter evenings at this time of year, it’ll only turn icy and cold well after dark so it was touch and go for a while. A finely balanced decision but I think the right one has made to go ahead. I’ve actually ventured out for a brief while and despite the snow flurries, it’s quite ok outside if you wrap up against the elements. Still bitterly cold though.
The joys of living on this rock in the sea…..
