Red red wine….stay close to me

Evening all. Bar one small visit to the shops, this is the first time I’ve ventured out since last Monday. A week that began badly, continued in the same vein and is finishing ok.

I’m at a local restaurant, enjoying a nice Sunday roast dinner and a few glasses of red wine. I used to hate the stuff, but now, I love it. The nice glass in the above picture has a drop of Merlot in it, my favourite type of red wine.

To be fair, I’ve not had much in the way of alcohol since 31st December 2017. You could say a dry-ish January. To be fair, my moods have been so up and down that I haven’t felt like socialising much. Not a bad thing to lay off the drink for the best part of a month, but tonight, it’s a refreshing accompaniment to an excellent meal.

I needed this little trip out for an hour or two. Having decided on another period of self exile, it’s nice to get out in the very fresh air, with the cold February air being inhaled. Good to go back to some tried and trusted methods to see me out of this current “rut”.

So, if you don’t mind, I’ll continue with my second glass of wine. See you soon.
